In part 1 we looked at Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 8:17, and 1 Peter 2:24 which tells us of Jesus bearing our sicknesses and diseases by the stripes on his back. Today I want to look at the reason God's people are perishing before their time.

Hosea 4:6 - MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE: Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.

Proverbs 4:20-22 - My child, ATTEND TO MY WORDS; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. FOR THEY ARE LIFE UNTO THOSE THAT FIND THEM, AND HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH.

Matthew 7:7-8 - ASK, AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN TO YOU; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: FOR EVERY ONE THAT ASKS RECEIVES; and the one that seeks finds.

The lack of knowledge of God's word and promises are the primary reason Christians die or are destroyed before their time. God's word says, "I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE" Exodus 15:26, and "BY WHOSE STRIPES YE WERE HEALED" 1 Peter 2:24. The word "WERE" in this verse is past tense, already done. "WITH LONG LIFE WILL I SATISFY HIM and show him my salvation Psalm 91:16.  Watch out this is a big one; Genesis 6:3, " And the LORD said, ...yet YOUR DAYS SHALL BE AN HUNDRED AND TWENTY YEARS." I claim this promise and shall be like Moses in Deuteronomy 34:7,"And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: HIS EYE WAS NOT DIM, NOR HIS NATURAL FORCE ABATE." In other words with full faculties.

Once you find a promise in God's Word you can claim it by faith, as you did salvation, and stand on that promise as yours. "ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU," Matthew 7:7. Just as you use your faith for salvation you can use it for healing too. Jesus' body was broken for your healing just as his blood was shed for your salvation. The salvation package is two fold, it is a shame the church has not taught the second part, YOUR HEALING!
