In part 2 we looked at Hosea 4:6, Proverbs 4:20-22 and Matthew 7:7-8, which tells
us of God's people perishing before their time because of a lack of knowledge of God's word.
Today I want to look at God's will for your healing and His promises.
Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male
and female created He them.
Exodus 15:26 - "I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE."
3 John 1:2 - "BELOVED, I WISH ABOVE ALL THINGS THAT THOU mayest prosper and BE IN HEALTH,
even as they soul prospereth".
Deuteronomy 30:19b - I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore
choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.
Should we be sick? Genesis 1:27 tells us that we are created in God's image. The
bible has no record that God nor Jesus was ever afflicted with sickness or disease except when
Jesus bore our sickness and disease for us by His stripes. I believe that God is faithful,
merciful and keeps His covenant with us who love Him and keep His commandments Deuteronomy 7:9. Look
at Deuteronomy 30:19-20 where God has set before us life and death, blessing and cursing and
directs us to choose life, that we may live, for He is our life, and the length of our days. Deuteronomy 7:11-15
and Deuteronomy 28:1-6 tells us of the blessings we can receive if we love and obey His commandments,
and Deuteronomy 28:15-19 tells us of the cursings, so we have a choice to make.
The Lord is our healer, Exodus 15:26 "for I am the LORD that healeth thee", Deuteronomy 7: 15 "And the
LORD will take away from thee all sickness..." Exodus 23:25 "and I will take sickness away from the
midst of thee." Jeremiah 30:17 "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of
thy wounds, saith the LORD". God watches over his Word to perform it, He cannot lie and His Word
will not return to Him void. We can trust God to do what His Word says he will do, this is where
our faith comes in. We must walk in faith believing God's Word and not what we see or feel
Hebrews 11:1 and Romans 10:17.
Deuteronomy 34:7 - And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim,
nor his natural force abated.
3 John 2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even
as thy soul prospereth.
Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount
up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Acts 10:38 - How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went
about doing good, and HEALING ALL that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Psalm 91:16 - With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Proverbs 9:10-11 - The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the
holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall
be increased.
Psalm 107:17-20 - Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are
afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of
death. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saveth them out of their
distresses. HE SENT HIS WORD, and HEALED THEM, and delivered them from their destructions.
Genesis 15:15 - And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
Isaiah 53:4-5 - Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
Matthew 8:17 - That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias (Isaiah) the prophet, saying, Himself
took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
1 Peter 2:24 - Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to
sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever.
Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should
repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?
Isaiah 55:11 - So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto
me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
