Who is Salvation for? According to John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He
gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but
have everlasting life." Whosoever means no matter what sins you have committed
Jesus died to save you from your own destruction, to make you a new person in Him,
2 Corinthians 5:17. You meet Him right where you are and once you choose Him,
He will make the changes needful in your life. We on our own, can never be good
enough to commune with God the Father except through Jesus.
God sent Jesus into the world to save it not to condemn it, John 3:17. So whosoever
believes in Jesus Christ is not condemned John 3:18. Jesus was our substitute;
he took on our sinful nature, for the wages of sin is death Rom 6:23 and died
on the cross so we could have everlasting life Rom 6:22.
Every person is precious in God's eyes, it is his will that all come unto Him and
not one should perish Matt 18:14 as Jesus put it so well in three parables: the
lost sheep, the lost piece of silver and the prodigal son.
Luke 15:3-7 - Then Jesus told them this parable: "Suppose one of you has a hundred
sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country
and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully
puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors
together and says, "Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep." I tell you that
in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents
than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."
Luke 15:8-10 - "Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not
light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when
she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with
me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing
in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
Luke 15:11-20 - Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. The younger
one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided
his property between them. Not long after that, the younger son got together
all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild
living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole
country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen
of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his
stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food
to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father
and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer
worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' So he got up and
went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and
was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and
kissed him."
Luke 15:21-24 The son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and against
you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son." But the father said to his servants,
"Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on
his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate.
For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found." So they
began to celebrate.
He leaves the rest to find the one that is lost, then all of heaven rejoices in finding
the one that was lost, but now is saved. That one may be you and Jesus is calling and
looking for you to come home and receive all that he has to offer you. For you truly
are precious in his sight.
What Does Salvation Mean?
The word "salvation" comes from the Greek word soteria, which means "deliverance, preservation and safety".
Salvation is a free gift to us from God that includes the forgiveness of our sins, eternal life and a
guaranteed entrance into heaven through His Son Jesus Christ. You see, we are all sinners and there can be
no sin in heaven. God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to make a way for our sins to be forgiven
so that we can enter into heaven. Once saved, your sins are removed and they no longer count against you.
But in order to receive this free gift of salvation, you have to accept Jesus as your Savior and what He
did for you.
You Cannot Earn Your Salvation
Salvation is a gift that cannot be earned from doing good deeds or from being a good person as
Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God". We are saved by the grace of God through our faith in God’s Word
concerning what Jesus did on the cross for us.
You Are A "Whosoever" And Salvation Is For You
Who is salvation for? God loves you so much that according to John 3:16 "For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life." I want to make this absolutely clear to you that despite what you may have heard, the word
"WHOSOEVER" means ANYBODY...period! No one is excluded from this invitation. It doesn’t say "whosoever
believeth in Him except so and so..." There are no exceptions. God’s invitation is open to ALL people.
No matter who you are or what sins you have committed, JESUS DIED TO SAVE YOU and to make you a new person
in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us "Therefore if ANYONE is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things
have passed away. Behold, all things have become new". You are a WHOSOEVER and salvation is for you and
God has an invitation with your name on it.
Jesus Came To Save Not To Judge
Most people know John 3:16 by heart but we can’t stop there. John 3:17 tells us "For God did not send His
Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world but that the world through Him might be saved". God sent Jesus into
the world to save it, not to condemn it or judge it. John 3:18 says "He who believes in Him is not condemned;
but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten
Son of God". If you believe in Jesus, you are not judged. Don’t let anyone on this earth judge you and try
to tell you that Jesus or salvation isn’t for you. That’s not their place to do that.
Jesus Took The Sins Of The World Upon Himself So That We Could Have Eternal Life
In Genesis, Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden by eating from the tree of knowledge that God told him not
to eat from. This sin separated him from God. And because of this all of his descendants, which means
every human being is born a sinner. We have all sinned in life and Romans 3:23 tells us that "for all
have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Our sins separate us from God as Isaiah 59:2 tells us,
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that
He will not hear".
Since there can be no sin in heaven and because God loves us so much, God sent His only begotten Son to
make a way for us to go to heaven and for our sins to be forgiven as 1 John 4:10 tells us, "This is love:
not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins". This
is also seen in Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us". When Jesus was put on that cross, all of OUR SINS were upon Him and He bore
OUR SINS FOR US as seen in Isaiah 53:4-6. Jesus had no sins and did not die for His own sake as seen in
2 Corinthians 5:21, "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him". Jesus shed His blood on the cross for the remission or forgiveness of our
sins as stated in Matthew 26:28, "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for
the remission of sins". He took the sins of the world upon Himself and died for us so that we could
have everlasting life as we see in Romans 6:22-23, "But now being made free from sin and become
servants to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life. For the wages of sin
is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Jesus paid the penalty
or price for our salvation on the cross. A penalty does not have to be paid twice. That’s how wonderful
He is.
Steps To Receive Your Salvation
1. Believe That Jesus Is The Son Of God
2. Confess That Jesus Is Your Lord And Savior
3. Believe That Jesus Died On The Cross To Save You From Your Sins
4. Believe That God Raised Jesus From The Dead
5. Confess That You Have Sinned
6. Ask Forgiveness For Your Sins
7. Ask Jesus To Come Into Your Heart
8. Be Baptized With Water For The Remission Of Sins
9. Receive The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit
1. Believe That Jesus Is The Son Of God
In order to have eternal life in heaven with Jesus forever you need to believe that Jesus is the begotten
Son of God. Acts 16:31 says, "So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved,
you and your household."
2. Confess That Jesus Is Your Lord And Savior
Confess out loud that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and that He has ultimate authority over your life.
This is an important step as we see in Acts 8:35-38, "Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this
scripture, preached Jesus to him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch
said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized? Then Philip said, "If you believe with all
your heart, you may". And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God". So he
commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he
baptized him". Tell others that you believe in
the Lord! Jesus says in Matthew 10:32-33, "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also
confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My
Father who is in heaven".
3. Believe That Jesus Died On The Cross To Save You From Your Sins
4. Believe That God Raised Jesus From The Dead
Believe that Jesus died and was raised from the dead and paid the price for your sins as Romans 10:9-10
tells us, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God
has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made to salvation."
5. Confess That You Have Sinned
6. Ask Forgiveness For Your Sins
None of us are perfect and we have all sinned and done wrong. You need to admit that you have sinned
confessing your sins to Jesus and asking forgiveness of them as 1 John 1:9 instructs, "If we confess
our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".
God is a forgiving God and is faithful to His Word and will then wash you clean from everything you have
ever done wrong.
7. Ask Jesus To Come Into Your Heart
Romans 10:13 says, "For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved".
8. Be Baptized With Water For The Remission of Sins
Water baptism is symbolic of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. Water baptism is also a public testimony
or an outward confession of an inward experience with Christ. We find Jesus baptism in Matthew 3:13,
"Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him". Your baptism represents the death of
your former lifestyle and it represents your new birth with the start of your new life in Christ. Baptism
also represents the forgiveness and cleansing from sin that comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
as we see in Acts 2:38, "Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins". The Bible states in Mark 15:16, "Whoever believes and is
baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned".
9. Receive The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit
The Trinity consists of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. When you are baptized and
receive your salvation or are "born again", the Holy Spirit comes to live in your heart as seen in
Acts 2:38, "Then Peter said to them, repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit". Jesus said in John 14:16-17,
"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever,
even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you
know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you". Jesus also said in John 14:23, "If anyone loves
Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him". The Bible says God
will never leave you nor forsake you and you have that assurance by seeing that He will come and take up
residence in your heart.
The Holy Spirit was a gift given on the day of Pentecost as seen in Acts 2:1-4, "Now when the Day of Pentecost
had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven,
as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to
them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy
Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance". Here we see they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit
gave them the words to say. They spoke in a language unknown to them. When you yield to the Holy Spirit,
you can also expect to speak in tongues. Sometimes when you pray it can be difficult to find the right
words or you are not sure as to how or what you should pray for, but when you submit to the Holy Spirit
He will intercede for you and speak and pray the perfect will of God through you supernaturally in another
language. We see this in Romans 8:26, "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know
what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot
be uttered".
The Holy Spirit is also your counselor and teacher and will help you recall Gods Word as John 14:26 tells
us, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things,
and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you".
One special evening I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and this is what happened. I was standing
in the middle of about 60 people at a spirit filled evening worship service. The room was lit by candlelight
and you could feel the Holy Spirit was very present in the room that night. All of sudden I felt a rush or
a presence that seemed to enter into my entire body like a gentle wind. As it entered me, I felt an
immediate flooding of an enormous amount of love. Imagine the most love you have ever felt in your entire
life, and then magnify that 1,000 times rushing into your body! I could hardly contain the feeling and I’ve
never felt anything close to it nor been the same since. Days later I began to speak in tongues. I relate
my experience to John 3:8, "The wind blows where it wishes. and you hear the sound of it, but cannot
tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit".
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is nothing to be afraid of. There is nothing to fear. This is just a way that
God can work through you and use you in a mighty way. Things like speaking in tongues may be unfamiliar to
you or seem strange if you’ve never been around it, but when you come to understand that it is the Holy
Spirit actually using you supernaturally for God’s work, then it becomes very exciting and you want more.
Remember that God is alive and His Word is alive. It has not changed and never will. When you actually
start to apply it in your life and learn that you can still today receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit,
speak in tongues, lay hands on the sick and they will recover and more...well all I can say is that GOD IS
AWESOME! Be a faithful willing servant and ask God what He’d like for you to do. He’ll tell you how He
wants to use you in mighty ways.
Salvation Makes You A Better Person
I believed in Jesus since I was a little child and was baptized at age 4, but as an adult I thought if I
got really involved in a church that I’d have to give up the things I love. I was so wrong. I am still the
same person I used to be only better. I still do the things I love but now with Christ involved. I take
Him everywhere I go. He protects me, He guides me, He talks to me, He informs me, He gives me visions of
the future, He warns me of danger, He blesses me with abundant prosperity, He loves me, He tells me when
He needs me to do things for Him such as helping others and He makes me feel loved and important. I find
that I have left behind the things that used to be harmful to my body like smoking or the rougher,
irresponsible side of life and don’t want those things anymore. I put my energy into more worthwhile
things like creating this God inspired website for you. He led me to create it, gave me the name, instructs
me on new ideas and what Bible studies to create for it. Now is the time to give your heart to Jesus
because time on Earth as we know it is running out.
Don’t Be Turned Off By Religion...Jesus Is COOL!
I understand that you may have been turned off by religion like when people on street corners shout Bible
verses at you. Or when someone keeps leaving you religious tracks saying to "Turn or Burn". I used to be
turned off by these things too. At the time nothing they said or did drew me any closer to the church.
But now that I have come to know Jesus as my best friend and how He looks after me wherever I go, and how
I know that I will be with Him forever in heaven, and how I can use Jesus name to do supernatural things
like healing the sick...JESUS is the coolest name I know! Once you turn your life over to Christ, everything
about Him takes on a whole new meaning.
God Is REAL And Wants To Commune With You
God loves you so much and wants you to become a part of His family forever. He wants to commune with you
and to walk with you like He did with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, Genesis 3:8. That has always been
His plan since the beginning of time. He wants you to live out all of eternity in the glorious kingdom that
He has waiting for you. He doesn’t want you to be lost or left behind. God is your Father and He wants you
to come to Him and to get to know the love He has for you. God is REAL. Jesus is REAL. The Holy Spirit is
REAL. The Bible says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. These are not just words...this
is a fact. Jesus is not like a figure in some old dusty history book. He is very much alive and active
today and doing mighty things! I can tell you this because I have personally and physically experienced
Him in many ways and have seen spectacular miracles happen. I have heard His audible voice, felt the
actual physical touch of His hand and experienced His love rush through my body when I least expected it
as told earlier. I’m sharing this with you because I want you to know that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit
are REAL and ALIVE today! Jesus is waiting to do mighty works in your life if you will only open the door
to your heart and let Him in.
Christ Is Awesome and You Won’t Be Able To Get Enough
Once you give your life to Christ, a change takes place where you can’t get enough of Him, you can’t worship
Him enough, you can’t reach your hands high enough in the air to praise Him, you feel you can’t do enough
for Him, you are just flooded with emotion and at times you fall on your knees in honor of Him. When you
are in a room filled with the Holy Spirit’s presence, you won’t want to leave. You’ll just want to stay
there to soak it up. Sometimes you’ll feel the Holy Spirit touch you in a way where you can’t stand and
you go down on the floor which is called "slain in the Spirit". I’ve felt this on numerous occasions and
sometimes I don’t even remember how I got to the floor. I’m sharing all of this with you because I want
you to know just how exciting your life with Jesus can be. It is never dull...it is awesome and you won’t
be able to get enough! I don’t want you to miss out on these wonderful feelings and experiences that you
can have right here on Earth.
Tap Into The Supernatural Power Of God...It’s There Waiting For You
After accepting Jesus into your heart and getting involved in a spirit filled church, you’ll find your life
completely changed...for the better! First off, you have the assurance of your salvation and know that you’ll
enter the gates of heaven and live out all of eternity in the beautiful New Jerusalem that God has prepared
for you as told in John 14:1-4, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place
for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where
I am, there you may be also". Second there’s nothing to fear.
Accepting Christ changes you but in a new refreshing way. As you learn more of God’s Word through Bible
study, you’ll find so many exiting things waiting for you that you never knew possible. For example did
you know that there are thousands and thousands of ministering angels standing by just waiting for your
command to spring into action when you need help? They harken to YOUR voice. Did you know that you can
heal the sick through Jesus by laying your hands upon another person? Did you know that you can talk to
God and that He will answer back to you...sometimes in an audible voice? I have heard the actual voice of
God and it is a very gentle voice. It is cool to be saved...it is exciting to accept Jesus...and God is awesome!
I have friends who God has given mighty gifts to because they want to be His obedient servants and to please
Him. I have a couple of friends who God gave the gift of healing to, several who have the gift of prophesy,
several who have been called to be ministers. God is a supernatural God so don’t be surprised when
supernatural things happen, you should expect them! Who knows what God has in store for you? Ask Jesus to
come into your heart today.
